About
The Gospel Community is a church of families and friends who meet in a home in Richmond, Texas. We exist to love God, love others, and make disciples.

Who we are
On Sunday mornings you’ll find us eating breakfast together, then gathered in the living room with our Bibles open. We ask questions, talk through the passage, and pray for one another. Families with kids are part of our church, and so are people who are still working through doubts and questions.
We keep Sundays simple: a meal, the Scriptures, teaching and discussion, and people who keep showing up for each other during the week.
Who teaches
Jacey Jetton and Tori Macfarlan teach together on Sunday mornings. Both are lay pastors who work regular jobs during the week.
Jesus calls us to love God with all our heart and love our neighbors as ourselves (Matthew 22:37–40). He also sends us to make disciples, teaching others to follow him (Matthew 28:18–20). Together these shape what we do when we gather and how we live through the week.
01
We worship Jesus, pray together, study Scripture, and seek to obey him in the ordinary moments of life.
02
We open our homes and lives, share meals, carry burdens, pray for each other, and care for practical needs.
03
We help each other follow Jesus, grow through teaching and honest questions, and invite others into that same life.

Love others in practice
Showing up for our neighbors.
We ran a charity 5K together. Loving others includes giving our time to our neighbors outside of Sunday morning.
What we believe
These are the beliefs our life together rests on. We’re glad to talk through any of them over breakfast.

One God in three persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.
Fully God and fully man, who lived, died, and rose again for our salvation.
God's Word, true and authoritative for all of life.
By grace alone, through faith alone, in Christ alone.
God's people, called to worship, community, and mission.
Jesus will return to judge the living and the dead and make all things new.
We teach through whole books of the Bible, a chapter or two at a time. Where faithful Christians read a passage differently, we lay out the main views and talk them through.
